| WHITEWOLF LAKE Whitewolf Lake camp is set up similar to our Little Marten Lake camp with wall tents on wooden frames and is located approximately 60 miles north west of Little Marten Lake. Whitewolf camp has enjoyed tremendous success for five years. HUNTING CONDITIONS During the
hunt, you will be transported by boat before walking inland to
glass and hunt. The tundra here has many eskers and ridges
allowing you to get on higher ground to glass. The eskers and
ridges also provide good ground cover enabling hunters to get
within rifle and bow range. The terrain is generally dry and
rocky; no hip waders are necessary, however, sturdy waterproof
hunting boots are a must. Temperatures
can range from 32oF to 75oF in late August and down to 28oF
to 40oF in late September. Some snow can be expected in mid to
late September and while it generally melts within a day it
has been known to stay. At all our Caribou Camps, Wolf,
Wolverine, and Ptarmigan are available. In addition to excellent hunting, all of the lakes provide great fishing opportunities for Lake Trout, Northern Pike, and Grayling. | | ||
