| This is an eight day 1on 4 hunt with six full days of hunting. This hunt is operated in partnership with Hall Beach Hunters and Trappers committee. Adventure Northwest is the booking agent for this community. We do not operate this hunt and therefore can only act as your agent when dealing with the community. On occasion hunts do not work out exactly as the hunter thinks they should. This must be resolved with the community before the hunter leaves Hall Beach. This hunt includes six full days of guided hunting and is truly the arctic experience of a lifetime! You will hunt the Walrus out of eighteen or twenty foot boat/canoes as the locals have done for decades. Typically, each hunter will have two boats, with one guide and three helpers to ensure a safe, and pleasurable experience. Walrus are usually shot while they are on the ice flows. If it does get in the water, your helpers will harpoon it to ensure that it does not sink. If you do not want the additional cost of staying in the hotel at Hall Beach, there is a camp set up that you may use at no extra cost. It is a short ten-minute drive from town, and the head guide, Ike Angtautuq will make the necessary arrangements for you. If you are planning on staying in camp you will want to bring a fishing rod, as the sea run Arctic Char are often begging to be cooked up for supper! If you tag out early, you will be able to go Seal hunting and bird watching. Imagine floating among the icebergs as walrus, seal, polar bear, and a wide variety of water foul hustle about the Fox Basin; known as the best place in the world to hunt the Atlantic Walrus. In 2002 Boyd and three other Walrus hunters went to Hall Beach, all four tagged out easily and had a great time. For a first hand account of the Walrus Hunt, call Boyd. THINGS THAT ALL HUNTERS MUST BE AWARE OF
Travel to and from Hall Beach is the hunter's responsibility.
